Made with the "frost technique" to obtain the crystallization of some areas of the pictorial surface, this technique consisted of placing the still fresh painting in the actual cold and then working on it subsequently. This effect was created by the painter Pancaldi in the early 1960s and refined throughout his career until reaching the extraordinary results of the paintings of the 80s/90s.
Author: Gaetano Pancaldi (Piumazzo di Castelfranco Emilia, 1922-2014). The representation of nature and daily life were among the artist's favorite subjects, who was very active and well-known in the Modena area due to his activity as a poster designer for the Communist Party of Modena and the numerous exhibitions he held.
