Author: Max Pellegrini, Turin (1945). He attended the Accademia Albertina and the Faculty of Architecture in Turin, where he taught urban and art sociology. After his first solo exhibition at the Il Punto gallery in 1966, with pop female portraits, he participated with the Fluxus group in the Turin art scene around the Piper. An independent artist, with a depiction that evokes a surreal performance in progress, he participated in the Venice Biennials of 1980, 1982 and 2011. Among his latest exhibitions, Surprise (GAM, Turin 2013), A tale. Max Pellegrini and Italo Cremona (Italian Cultural Institute, New York 2014), Max Pellegrini: A Retrospective Exhibition (Palm Desert, California, 2015-2016).
